5 Summer Bucket List Items & 3 Items to pack

Summer is approaching quickly which means it’s time to create the perfect bucket list. Explore todays post to get some ideas for your bucket list!

Why make a list though? I have always been a believer of making a list so you have clear goals and are more motivated to obtain them. Where as going with the flow, as you may have the best ideas, sometimes there’s just so many you end up not doing any of them. Well that’s what happens with me but not this year. This year I want a clear idea of places I want to see and activities I want to do. Of course with that said is a packing list too, which will get too, but I just have 3 key items I want to bring along for my list and the rest I’ll figure out as I go.

Now lets get to the Bucket List items!!

  1. Go to Big Sur, CA

This is a location I’ve been dying to go to. You have views, drives, hikes and more all available to you. It’s also great (so I’m thinking it is) to just do a cool road-type trip, there’s something relaxing and nostalgic about it. But really I only heard great things about the views you will encounter. If I were to go I think I’d jump around with Airbnb!

2. Walk the Brooklyn Bridge

As a New Yorker I have NEVER done this. Yes I’m ashamed but also very motivated to do this walk and end the day in DUMBO exploring, eating and shopping!

3. Go to Puerto Rico

This is a trip I am hoping to take in July. I have been there before but it was during a cruise so I feel like there was still so much to see and do; and after my vast research THERE REALLY IS SO MUCH TO DO. There are great hikes, sunsets, markets, beaches and more that are a mainstream tourist item that’s always forced in your face. So hopefully this will be completed with a blog post that follows.

4. Work up to running 5 miles straight

This is more of a personal goal, which is still very important to set for yourself. Lately I’ve been feeling very sluggish and haven’t been so workout crazed as I typically am. I’ll admit I’m in a funk but this is why we set goals. To help us strive for something and I’m striving to get back on track! Fitness is very important to me and working up to a consistent pace and distance would be a great achievement for me.

5. Try a new restaurant every month in NYC for the months of June, July & August

Working in the city now, I’ve realized how much I didn’t explore or experience when I was there for college. I was also on a college budget so that may have been why but now is the perfect time to reverse that and do a little research and trial. So stay tuned for a list to follow of some recommendations!

With my bucket list I need a few items that I want to bring with me on each journey and or experience so here are a few that would be key for me:

  1. My Olympus Camera

This compact camera that we featured a couple of months back has been a great camera to shoot with and travel with! I’m loving the picture quality and how it takes up no room when I’m traveling. I’m even bring it to work each day because you never know when there is an opportunity to capture a moment. Lastly I also switch lenses to 25mm and it makes all the difference when photographing!

2. My ONA Bag

For the camera lovers, story tellers, hobbyists…this fine camera bag company with change your life. Their luxe materials elevate each style and each item is wear tested making sure every element of the style works and fits right. I have the Clifton Backpack and use it everyday for work!

3. A good pair of sunnies + Travel Size Sunscreen

Both are highly important. Many don’t know how much the sun actually damages not only your skin but your eyes as well so it’s very important to be prepared with both. Also we are tryin to avoid wrinkles from sun damage and squinting, right ladies and gents?! We are big fans of Diff Eyewear, Goop, and Kiehls!

That’s it for now and thank you for taking time to read todays article!
