Another NYFW has come and gone and we are already thinking about February’s fashion week ! This was our first time attending fashion week during the summer and we saw some really amazing trends for Fall. Over the knee boots are definitely here to stay and we saw white patent shoes everywhere! Fun prints and lots of sparkle was also a trend we saw on the runway.

We learned some new things from this fashion week and though we would share!
Some things we learned from this fashion week were:
1. Dress for the weather and not the trends. Although everyone was showcasing their fall line it was 70 degrees outside. We wore boots and pants one day and we were a god bit hot wherever we went.
2. Don’t be afraid to say hi to blogger you love! Last time we didn’t want to bother people but this time we said what the heck. We met some great people especially hellofashionblog! She was such a sweetheart and stopped and talked to us for a few minutes.
3. Events are a lot more fun than the shows. The shows are fun to see the trends but the events you really get to talk to people and there are so many fun goodies.
4. Plan snacks. As we said last year sometimes you run from show to show and don’t have room for lunch and everyone who knows Kelly knows how hangry she can get so we always have snacks.
5. Dress as over the top as possible if you want to get noticed. Some outfits we saw we don’t think anyone would actually wear outside of fashion week but you will definitely get noticed that way.
6. If you have a standing ticket get to the show early. Sometimes shows are overbooked and its first come first serve if you have a standing ticket so make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
7. A lot of girls change in between shows to get multiple outfits done in a day. To be honest we never even thought of this but it’s so smart and we will definitely be stealing this idea.
8. Remember to have fun and this is what you worked for!
