So I have gotten into the habit of switching between multiple mascaras throughout the year because my aunt works for a makeup company and she is always letting me try new products. So I decided to test out some of the recent Mascaras I have gotten and show everyone the brush as well as how well they work. Mascara can be tricky as you want to go try a new one but they are so expensive to buy sometimes. Also as we prove in this post sometimes the most expensive ones aren’t the best ones! We really feel like a good brush is the trick to success.
The side by side comparison of all Mascaras:
1. Benefit They’re Real
Lets start first with my favorite. So I got this mascara free as a Sephora sample once and I loved it so much that I had to buy it. This honestly gives you the most volume and really makes it look like you are wearing fake eyelashes. The $24 is worth it for me! I would buy this mascara again
This is actually the one I am using currently (but I am almost out of it ekk!) This mascara is great and works really well. Only negative is it isn’t really waterproof but besides that the brush works really well with my lashes and really gives the volume I want. This mascara is only $27 but I found it only for $10 at Ulta. I would buy this mascara again
3. Mac Extended Play
I love this mascara. The brush is great and it applies so easily so I don’t have to go over my lashes multiple times. It gives me the volume I want and lasts all day for only $18. I would buy this mascara again
Okay so I had never heard for Kokie makeup products until recently (but lets be honest I don’t know to much about makeup as it is). I just tried their mascara and their eyeliner and I am now a fan. The brush on this mascara works really well and is really smooth. and for only $7 it’s worth it. I would buy this mascara again.
5. Bobbie Brown – Smokey Eye Mascara
So this is meant to complement a smokey eye look but to be honest I don’t even know how to do a smokey eye. I like this mascara because it builds volume lash by lash. What I don’t like is that it doesn’t give me as much volume as I would like. I would not buy this mascara again.
So I was actually extremely surprised by this mascara. I though oh Givenchy it is going to be amazing but to be honest I don’t like it and for $32 there are definitely cheaper mascaras that work 10x better. What do I not like? Well the fact that the brush doesn’t go all the way around and is only on one side just doesn’t do it for me. Also it is great that it bends to make it “easier” to put on your lashes but again I just overall don’t think it works well. I would not buy this mascara again.
