What we changed in our first home so far:
- We refinished our floors. They were all a dark cherry wood and we sanded it down and gave it a white natural wash. This was a huge game changer and I am so happy I pushed for the light color. Also if you are buying a house and want to re-done your wood floors…I highly recommend doing this before moving in. It is a very dusty process.

We also removed the faux fireplace so we could fit our couch!
2. We refinished the kitchen from all brown to a black and gold kitchen! It’s crazy how color changes everything too because now the back splash doesn’t bother me as much! Take a look for yourself:

3. We did some light updating in the dinning room. We painted the walls and changed out the light fixture and both of those updates really freshened up the space nicely.

4. And the last part of todays update, we updated our downstairs bathroom from a full bath to a half bath and added the most exquisite wallpaper from Milton & King. I went with the Hydrangea Garden Wallpaper (Two Roll Set) in the green combo. I AM SERIOUSLY IN LOVE TOO! Check it out for yourself:
