My best friend and co blogger is officially cancer free !! For those of you who don’t know Alex she is the most kind hearted soul who will do anything for anyone. She has been going through chemo treatments for about 5 months and has had the best spirits even on the worst days. She was/ is always more concerned with how you are doing over herself and wants to make sure you are okay before she goes any further. If that’s not the best person/friend you have ever met than I don’t know what is. If you ever need her she will be right over no questions asked and even if you say you are fine she still ends up showing up at your door.
I will never forgot those long 5 months ago when I found out Alex had cancer. I was away on a international business trip when she found out she had cancer and she knew that if she said anything I would be on the next flight home so she kept it from me like a good friend would hoping I wouldn’t get mad at her for not telling me, which of course I didn’t. Any great friend would do that. While I was away I knew something was off though and I couldn’t wait to get home. When I got home and my mom told me I immediately bursted into tears and called her right away. She was so normal on the phone and laughed knowing everything was going to be okay. When I got to her house later that day I started to cry and she was the one being strong when it should have been the other way around !
She has been through a lot in her life and this was just another bump that she is finally done with and its time for her to move on to the next chapter for bigger and better things. So proud of you Alex and so glad that you are better. Alex was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and as of 8.24.15 she is officially cancer free and in remission!!
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference” and I truly believe that your great attitude not only helped you get through this bump in the road but also inspired others to have positive outlooks and give off positive vibes like you did. Thank you for always being there for me as well and for being the sister I never had
