Well another NYFW has come and gone and we are so excited to share the recap of everything we went to
We usually only do the weekends but this year we decided to do a few things after work as well. It is safe to say we were both exhausted at work the whole week!
Night 1 [Wed night]
Started at the Elle NYFW cocktail. The space we beautiful and we were surrounded by top influencers, models, and celebrities. It was a great event and a great place to network and get to know others. We even met a few of our role models in the industry like Rocky Barnes and Olivia Rink!
Night 2 [Friday Night]
Skipped Thursday cause I was too tired but my night 2 was the Lulus party. I [Kelly] went after work and it was another great place to network and meeting other influencers in the industry considering there was probably about 400+ people there. Lulus always throws a great party- the best part has to be the gifting suite though. Everyone got to pick out an outfit and accessory they loved. I mean who doesn’t love free clothes from Lulus ?! Shop my outfit here!
Day 3 [Saturday]
Day 3 was our first full day [well half day] of shows. We went to a few shows in the morning and then met our friends later at night. I went with this bold red look from misguided. Shop this look here.
We started at Yuna Yang runway show. This was our first year attending her show and if was beautifully done. From the amazing lace-up shoes to the all-lace outfits- we completely fell in love with the collection. She featured a lot of florals, pastels, and ruffle. We were swooning over this collection and can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!
Next stop was our favorite Son Jung Wan! This was our third time attending her show, it is always so enjoyable and the collection is always a piece of art. Ruffles seemed to be a trend of NYFW this year so expect to see it in stores a lot. Besides ruffles the collection really focused on bold prints, fun stripes, polka dots and even some metallic pieces! The collection is very feminine but also sexy!
Day 4 [Sunday]
First stop of the day was The House of Nonie. This ready-wear line is worn by the Duchess of Sussex! This line draws it inspiration from Indian designs. The collection showcased a lot of draping as well some risky sheer tops. Everything featured was very timeless and clean. Any of the looks could have easily been taken off the models and worn right there. We actually met Amanda Fuller AKA “Badison” from Orange is The New Black at this show. Don’t worry she is nothing like her character in the show ha!
Our final stop was the House of Maybelline, this was a fun interactive pop-up that Maybelline put together. There was free drinks, food, and of course make up. We even got to meet the Victoria Secret model Adriana Lima! It was a nice way to end our Sunday.
Day 5 [Tuesday]
Finally we ended our week at the Tractenberg studio, our favorite! They featured new fall products from Bare Minerals, Yummy, Avon, John Frieda, Dry Bar, Rimmel London, Iope, and so many more. They always throw the best events and we hate missing any of them!
