When I started to think about how I wanted to do my bridesmaids proposal I knew I didn’t want to do anything typical. I didn’t want to do a bridesmaids box and I really wanted all of my girls to meet in person since some of them had never met.
I think my vision really started was when I saw someone create these really cool clear balloons on Tiktok for a birthday party and I thought why cant I do something similar for by bridesmaids with a different vinyl on it? So I started to watch youtube videos on how to do it and eventually ordered the supplies to test it out. It so happened that Alex got a circuit a month before I was going to ask my girls so it worked out great that I didn’t have to pay someone to ship me the cut out vinyls. Adding some photos below on how to balloons came out.
I linked here the clear balloons I used, the regular balloons, the balloon sticks and the gorilla glue used to hold the stick to the balloon as otherwise it was too heavy. I also linked the circuit vinyl I used here.
THE GIFTS
I have said for years I wanted to give my girls Venus et Fleur flowers as bridesmaids gifts. If you have never heard of these flowers they are roses that last a year. I have had one for 6 years though. It does lose its coloring and smell a little bit it is still in great shape. I also have the large square for almost 4 year and it hasn’t lost any coloring or smell. I wanted to give gifts I knew my girls would use over and over again nothing that could only be used for the wedding. The Venus flowers were perfect and I know that every time they see them sitting in their house they will think of me.
The next thing were earrings and a matching necklace from Kendra Scott for my bridesmaid. This is something I picked out that I knew they could rewear for years to come. They are both very classic pieces which is why I loved them for my wedding day! I told the girls they cant lose them from now until next year.
Some other things I gave the girls during the bridesmaid proposal were these amazing candy boards from All Aboard Candy which makes custom candy boards. They also all got cupcakes from Granola Bar, as well as sandwiches from them and amazing drinks. The last thing was an amazing cheese board from Drewlizcious if you are local to the Fairfield area she is amazing.
I used pillows I had at my apartment and then bought the placemats here, the blanket here, the plates here, and the runner here. If you are wondering about the tables I actually made those with my brother. Blog post coming soon on how I made them.
