Holiday Shopping at the Westchester Simon Mall

The Holidays are here, so time to go to the The Westchester… one of our favorite Simon Malls! See what we picked up on Simon Said!

Did you know The Westchester  has 150 stores and restaurants to enjoy. Did you know there is a Peloton store in there now? Also it’s centrally located in White Plains so it’s easy to get to from upper Westchester where we grew up or even CT, which is where we live now.

We recently learned about the new remodel of a few stores as well as additions! so taking a trip there to see for ourselves was a must. The holiday spirit is alive once you pull up to the mall, which got us so ready to check out what’s new and start shopping. We still can’t believe it’s that time of the year either but shockingly we are ready to do some early shopping since we wrote down names of who we need to shop for this year.

We love starting on the lower level of the mall and working our way up too, which was perfect because the Lululemon store is there, we needed to pick up a few things there for our workout people on our list, and we wanted to check out their new remodel. We can honestly say it is beautiful and is huge! We felt like their assortment grew by 3 times making it hard to stop shopping. Pretty much everything we saw and tried we wanted to get one for someone and one for ourselves.

Some of the other stores we visited in the mall which were either new, remodeled or just one of our favorite stores were

  • Arc’teryx
  • Urban Outfitters
  • Untuckit
  • Gucci
  • The Little Beet (have to fuel our shopping trip)

Arc’teryx is a new addition to the mall and a great one since we have a few snow lovers on our list and getting them some gear for their winter activities was on our shopping list. We loved how the store was set up and the staff was super helpful. Putting together a full look on their comfy chairs in the back made our shopping trip so easy there as well.

On the same floor you can also find Urban Outfitters, not a new spot in the mall but a must stop in…especially for holiday shopping. Here is where we can just get lost (in a good way). So many fun items and looks making it the perfect stop to shop for those “cool kids” on your list. We even did a little try on session for ourselves because again we couldn’t help ourselves. But really they had some fun items that are under $50 like the banana flask we found and we became obsessed with it.

UNTUCKit was also a new stop for us but was great for the uncles, dads, boyfriends and bosses on our list. Their dapper looks fall at a great price point and will sure be a great update to ones wardrobe. We especially like some of their quilted jacket and vest looks.

We also did some Window shopping at Gucci, which is now located on the second floor and looks AMAZING! Sorry who ever needs to shop for us this holiday because 3 things each just got added to our list from there, WHOOPS!

Of course we needed to stop and refuel after all the shopping we completed and still needed to do so we stopped at the newly remodeled food court and loved the menu from The Little beet. This healthy food stop features items like quinoa, broccoli, squash, tofu, grilled salmon and much more. The point we are trying to make is there more than just pizza up stairs. of course we decided to make our own bowls there with a base of quinoa and added two veggies plus their delicious chicken. we loved knowing that was up there too because now we won’t skip eating and will avoid going home hangry!

Holiday shopping can be stressful and tiresome. We were exhausted after visiting 5 stores, but we started early which is something we try to do early because it helps us stay calm by December 20th. We also made a list of who we were shopping for, how much we wanted to spend on them and listed a few items to possibly get them. This way we had a plan and budget and didn’t just wonder around helpless. We also find that when we do that we don’t over spend and we don’t just buy something for the hell of it. We believe every gift should have some thought behind it even though we totally get how hard that can be if you’re buying for over 10 people. So we can’t stress enough, make a list and check it twice ;).

This successful trip was much needed because now we can relax more for the rest of December and make all those holiday parties. We also are so excited to give everyone their gifts because we loved what we found for people. Like a new workout look from Lululemon for our gym rats and of course all the fun trinkets from Urban Outfitters. We know our next trip will be as enjoyable too because we cut half our list down and we can enter some of those new stores we discovered, like the Peloton and Altar’d State! Maybe we’ll even take a photo with Santa!
